“Argyle Kabuki” has been invited to screen as part of a special program at ITFS (Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film) this year, Experimental Abstract Animation. It will appear alongside films by the likes of contemporary abstract animation greats Stephanie Maxwell and Chris Casady during International II, which, according to curator Vibeke Sørensen,
“presents works by international artists that traverse the increasingly imaginative, active, and technologically sophisticated period from the late 20th century to the present.”
Needless to say, I’m excited that Dax is getting his due. This project means a lot to us and it’s exciting that it continues to be screened, five years after its Punto y Raya premiere.
