  • rer006 Ten Digit ArmyBegin Today EP (Sept 2008)

  • album coverLas Vegas-based home recording project Ten Digit Army is D.I.Y. to the core. Songwriter and multi- instrumentalist TDA plays every sound you hear--from vintage keyboards to reverbed guitars and overloaded drum machine beats. Ten Digit Army's first release for RER is four catchy, soulful songs from a far-off basement, a distant beacon from the desert. Many thanks to Masayuki @ Music Forest and Roland @ Machtdose podcast for being early supporters and spreading the word about this EP.

rer005 The Starry Tides - One Lit Window EP (Aug 2006)

  • album coverSeven tracks of home-recorded post-rock in miniature, originally put to tape 2000-2002.  Blog attention from Alex Young's Milieu and Bulut @ The Modern Music, combined with support from Netwaves DJs @ Radio Scorpio (Leuven, Belgium) and listeners on Last.fm have led this first EP to reach over 6000 file downloads via Archive.org alone.  OLW is the first in a series of four TST EPs. The second, "Music from the film
Presence", will be out this Winter.

rer004 V/A - Pencil Test: An RER Prehistory LP (Aug 2006)
  • Pencil Test is sort of a super-condensed rerelease of RER01 V/A - A Little Bedroom Rawkenroll, and serves as a time capsule of early demos documenting the spastic, lo-fi beginnings of the Reverse Engine experiment.  Pre-RER home recordings from Striped Shirt Math Team, The Moth Pan, One-Eyed Spaceboy, Posthumous and The Alienated Roommates, plus a bonus rip of Deafwing's self-released cassette-only noise rock epic, "All-Night Entertainment District".  In the words of the Desperate Bicycles, "It was easy, it was cheap--go and do it!".

rer003 The Moth Pan & elevator to the starssplit CDr (April 2002)
  • Lo-fi musings from film and music collaborators J and D. 17 tracks recorded over two years in two bedrooms, a bathroom, and an abandoned coffee shop.

rer002 Striped Shirt Math Team - Academic Excellence EP (Summer 2001)
  • Simply put, Academic Excellence is a 21-track lo-fidelity epic.  This near complete collection of early demos from Striped Shirt Math Team also includes a bonus EP of questionable tiny music from SSMT's alter-egos, The Magic of Christmas, and "music for a slow motion knife fight", an MoX track featuring Louis Allred & The Tarik Booker Gospel Choir that can now be found on The Satellite Show's still-available "Consumer Product" CD.

    rer001 V/A - A Little Bedroom Rawkenroll LP (April 2001)
  • A limited edition CD-r that compiled much of the Reverse Engine collective's musical output up until that time. It included 30-40 tracks--a slew of One-Eyed Spaceboy tracks including selections from two EPs on Mark Carpenter's Digital Softcore Records (Pencil Test and Portrait Of A Sonic Embryo)--and early material from elevator to the stars, Striped Shirt Math Team and The Moth Pan, as well as one-shots from Posthumous and The Alienated Roommates. Very few copies were made and the track listing varied from copy to copy. Each copy contained either slides or color copies of slides taken by Jed Johnson. There are no plans to make RER01 available again. It was replaced in 2006 by RER04 V/A - Pencil Test: An RER Pre-History (1998-2001), which is now deleted. Reworked versions of some of this material appears on other RER releases.
