Las Vegas-based home recording project Ten Digit Army is D.I.Y. to the core. Songwriter and multi- instrumentalist TDA makes every sound you hear–from vintage keyboards to reverbed guitars and overloaded drum machine beats. Ten Digit Army’s first release for RER is four catchy, soulful songs from a far-off basement, a distant beacon from the desert. Many thanks to Masayuki @ Music Forest and Roland @ Machtdose podcast for being early supporters and spreading the word about this EP. This is rer06, released 4 September 2008.

A round-up of Reverse Engine's extremely limited edition CD-R releases (2001 to 2006).

rer04 | V/A – “Pencil Test: An RER Prehistory”
A condensed reissue of rer01, paired with a reissue of Deafwing’s limited edition noise rock cassette, “All-Night Entertainment District”. Released August 2006.

rer03 | The Moth Pan/elevator to the stars – Split CD-R
Lo-fi musings from film and music collaborators J and D. 17 tracks recorded over two years in two bedrooms, a bathroom, and an abandoned coffee shop. Released April 2002.

rer02 | Striped Shirt Math Team – “Academic Excellence” EP
A 21-track, lo-fidelity epic. A near complete collection of early demos from Striped Shirt Math Team paired with a bonus EP of questionable tiny music from SSMT’s alter-egos, The Magic of Christmas, and “Music for a Slow Motion Knife Fight”, an MoX track featuring Louis Allred & The Tarik Booker Gospel Choir that also appears on The Satellite Show’s “Consumer Product” CD. Released Summer 2001.

rer01 | V/A – “A Little Bedroom Rawkenroll”
A limited edition CD-R that compiled much of the Reverse Engine collective’s musical output up until that time. It included 30-40 tracks–a slew of One-Eyed Spaceboy tracks including selections from two EPs on Mark Carpenter’s Digital Softcore Records (“Pencil Test” and “Portrait Of A Sonic Embryo”)–and early material from elevator to the stars, Striped Shirt Math Team and The Moth Pan, as well as one-shots from Posthumous and The Alienated Roommates. Very few copies were made and the track listing varied from copy to copy. Each copy contained either slides or color copies of slides taken by Jed Johnson. There are no plans to make RER01 available again. It was replaced in 2006 by RER04 V/A – Pencil Test: An RER Pre-History (1998-2001), which is now deleted. Reworked versions of some of this material appears on more recent RER releases. Released April 2001.
