I was commissioned by UnCommonWill Collective and TheaterLAB Houston to create a short film to be projected during a monologue telling the story of a guilt-ridden WWII-era German set decorator’s construction of a bizarre suicide machine in his attic studio. My projection, which doubled as documentation for an artists’ installation made specifically for the play, drew equally from Modernist photography, film noir cinematography, and German Expressionist Cinema. (TRT: 5:25, 16:9, Digital, 2016)
